Rihanna and Chris Brown did their first interviews since taking their relationship public and I can tell they are lying about “being together.”

I’m not mad they’re lying, in fact, I love the way they lie.

VIDEO: Rihanna Reveals Her Relationship Status With Chris Brown

Rihanna quickly shot down Andy Cohen’s question when he asked her if she was back together with Chris. A cold “No,” echoed throughout the room.

Breezy stopped by Big Boy’s neighborhood and gave an almost identical, ‘Nope!’ when Big Boy asked if Chris was back together with Rihanna. I’ve seen this all before. Both Chris and Rih are going to be adamant about keeping their relationship under wraps – even if it’s crystal clear that they are back together.

VIDEO: Chris Brown Opens Up About His New Relationship With Rihanna

I remember the last time Chris and Rihanna were together they weren’t considered “boyfriend and girlfriend” until that dreaded night. They were friends. Friends who traveled together, kissed, popped each other’s pimples, and made love in the club. Those are the best kind of friends, right?

When people are up in your business, that’s when you give others the space to tear things down. And now with Twitter and Instagram, people have even more connections to their favorite celebs. They live their lives vicariously through them. So if Qaulisha’s relationship is messed up, it takes nothing for her to tweet Rihanna about how much of a terrible person she is for going back to Chris Brown.

Never mind the fact that Qualisha never met Rihanna outside of music videos and tweets. Hell, one of the comments on this very site reads, “thank f*ck she ain’t back with that back turd loves himself not her.”

In the words of Heath Ledger’s Joker: why so serious? The person’s comment was so filled with anger that you wonder if their mother hugged them enough!

It’s because of this type of anger for no reason, that I love them lying about their relationship status. Michael Jackson once sang, “Ain’t nobody’s business but mine and my baby.”

Rihanna and Chris Brown should keep it that way. Just cut down on the public girl swapping and things will work themselves out a lot better.

I wish Chris and Rihanna the best.
