Rihanna is currently laid up in a hospital in Sweden ... but have no fear, RiRi should make a full recovery!

The Bajan pop princess was forced to cancel the Malmo, Sweden spot on her LOUD tour tonight, after she came down with a nasty case of the flu.

Rihanna released a statement to her fans, along with a twitpic of her IV drip below:

"I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo Switzerland. I was so excited to perform for you all."

"It would have been a great time…so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I'm really disappointed I couldn't be there," she added.

We're sure Rihanna will be back on stage working the crowd before we know it. But we hope Rihanna gets all the rest and relaxation she needs.
