Rihanna was able to cover up her hickey with a turtleneck shirt, but her budding relationship with Chris Brown keeps heating up.

Friends of Rihanna and Chris Brown are trying hard to keep them from getting back together, but that might be inevitable. 

Rihanna is still head over heels for Chris -- despite that fateful night 3 years ago when he brutalized her -- and if it weren't for the media and her fans, she would already have taken him back.

We're told Chris also has extremely strong feelings for Rihanna -- current girlfriend be damned.

Now, sources tell us, Rihanna and Chris' friends are terrified they'll get back together -- and they're doing everything they can to prevent a possible reunion.

Karrueche isn't trying to lose her man either. She's been tweeting up a storm.

Since Rihanna's "Birthday Cake Remix" dropped, Karrueche has been tweeting sublimes that say she's not going anywhere. Some of her retweets also add more fuel to the fire. Her timeline reads:

"Didn't give a f*ck yesterday, Don't give a f*ck today, And I probably won't give a f*ck tomorrow either."

A friend tweets, "Lol, man don't worry about Karrueche!!!! She is BEYOND GOOD!!!!" To which Karrueche replies, "LOL you ain't never lied."

Then almost suddenly her reaction changes as she tweets:

"You reap what you sow. I know you're waiting for me to say something... But I'm Ray Charles to the bullshit."
