Selena Gomez is currently making the media rounds promoting her new risque film, Spring Breakers, which couldn’t come at a better time. Because now makes for the perfect opportunity for interviewers to ask about her recent split from Justin Bieber.

The 20-year-old former Disney star stopped by the Late Show with David Letterman Monday night and spoke for the first time publicly about the breakup. Although she didn’t go into much detail, Selena joked that she made the Biebs cry, and then fist bumped David Letterman over the accomplishment.

We have to give props to Letterman for the perfect set up. He said to Selena:

“Last time you were here, you were with a Justin Bieber. That’s not going on now.”

To which Selena proudly responded:

“No, I’m single. I’m so good.”

Letterman then continued:

“Now, the last time he was on, he and I got into a conversation and he said something and I said something, and then he said something and I said something, and I made him cry.”

Selena didn’t miss a step when she quickly responded:

“Well then, that makes two of us.”

Letterman then gave her a fist bump, confirming that Selena is totally winning. Have you seen her at all the Spring Breakers premieres recently? This breakup is looking damn good on her, not so much on Justin (the whole gas mask look isn’t doing it for us).

The film, co-starring James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Benson, opens this Friday, March 22.
