As GlobalGrind reported earlier, Ray J was rushed to the hospital due to dehydration and exhaustion following the Billboard Awards this weekend.

But there was one person who played an important role, stepping in and taking the initiative to call for help: lovely actress/model Sophie Monk.

According to TMZ, Sophie and Ray J hosted a Billboard Awards after party at Voodoo Beach in Las Vegas Sunday night promoting their new campaign for Prince Reigns Products. After they returned to their hotel, Sophie had a bad feeling about her 31-year-old business partner.

According to sources, the two went to their separate rooms -- but Sophie decided to check up on Ray to make sure he was alright ...and discovered him unresponsive on the floor.

We're told Sophie called hotel management, which then called 911. An ambulance took Ray J to the hospital shortly after.

We're severely grateful for Sophie Monk's presence that day and happy Ray J is making a full recovery!
