With Think Like a Man coming out this Friday, April 20th, it’s hard not to have a little playful discussion about the competition between men and women, and who is better at getting into their counterparts’ head.

Terrence J, who stars in the movie, plays one of the frisky bachelors who gets involved in the “dating games” that we all go through when we are meeting new people.

From Homeless To Host: Terrence J On His Rise To The Top

As we all know, off-screen Terrence J is happily taken and off the market! But we can’t help but wonder what his process is in approaching a female like Selita Ebanks and what he does to keep her around.

In an exclusive interview, Terrence J takes the time to chat with GlobalGrind on his thoughts about whether it truly is a good idea for men and women to think like the opposite sex.

Check out the exclusive interview below!

GlobalGrind: Being in this industry, you come across so many women. Do you think if a woman thinks like a man it hurts them, or helps them?

Terrence J: I think relationships are tricky. You don’t want to think, ‘If a woman thinks too much like me, I’m not going to like it.’ I think what the book did and what the film is going to do, is open up everybody’s eyes to the other side of the story, to let women know what men are dealing with, what issues we’re dealing with and also let men see a part of what women are dealing with.

I think we all have to, in a way, think like each other and put ourselves in the other person’s shoes in order for a relationship to work. I think sometimes you need a woman’s perspective. Women have to look at things from their man’s perspective also in order for a relationship to really work.
