Posted December 27, 2012 by Jason Brooks for Global Grind Staff

Yet another Thursday has come around and we are almost positive that you are ready for the week to be over. Unfortunately you have still got a little bit of time to burn, so we have come up with some great things for you to do that will make it feel like you're on a mini-vacation before the week is over. Check it out in today's Finnish installment of Dollars & Sense!

Rent A Glass Igloo

During the winter months, Igloo Village Kakslauttanen in Saariselka, Finland offers the possibility to spend the night admiring the Northern lights in a glass igloo. A glass igloo provides an one of a kind opportunity to admire the northern lights and millions of stars of the crystal clear sky in a comfortable room temperature. Built from a special thermal glass the temperature inside the igloo always stays a normal level. It also prevents the glass from not getting white frosted, hence keeping the view clear even when the temperature outside drops to under -30°C. Every igloo is equipped with a toilet and luxury beds.
