It's already Thursday!
It feels like we were just talking about Monday and now we have almost gotten to the weekend. However with a full 48 hours before Saturday, we have got a few great things for you to do to make you feel like you are already in relaxation mode.
In today's installment of Dollars & Sense, we are focusing on the city of Montreal, Canada. Check it out below!
Visit The Insectarium
Once just a pet project of insect collector Georges Brossard, the Insectarium officially opened in 1990 within the Montreal Botanical Garden. Not for the faint of heart, more than 150,000 arthropods—of which insects are a sub-group—are on display at the museum. These include live displays such as the leafcutter anthills, a stick insect vivarium, and a diving beetle aquarium. The park location allows the honeybees and bumblebees from the Insectarium's hives to harvest nectar. In September, entomologists tag and release Monarch butterflies for their southern migration. If you happen to be able to get an arial view from the Olympic Stadium's Montreal Tower Observatory you will be able to appreciate the museum's insect-shape.
