The divorce between Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise was a short but rough one, and it made people skeptical of their 6-year relationship.

Apparently, Tom went through a “wife-auditioning” process that was held by members of the Scientology Church!

According to Vanity Fair, Shelly Miscavige led the audition process that called in Scientology members eligible to be Tom Cruise’s wife, but told them that they were auditioning for a new training film.

They were even asked questions such as “What do you think of Tom Cruise?”

The topic came up since Katie Holmes take over the cover of this month’s Vanity Fair magazine it's "scientology issue."

Scientology member, Marc Headley even told the Vanity Fair correspondent:

 "It’s not like you only have to please your husband—you have to toe the line for Scientology.”

He also said that Tom Cruise’s other exes ran “foul” of scientology:

"You can’t do anything to displease Scientology, because Tom Cruise will freak out.”

It seems like it’s pretty tough to be Tom Cruise’s wife!

Tom was recently was photo-ed spending time and grabbing some drinks with friends, maybe doing so wife auditioning of his own.
