After the abrupt break up between power couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, the thought of another celebrity couple throwing in the towel doesn’t seem to be a stretch. Even though celebrity break-ups are nothing new, for some reason everyone was shocked when news began circulating about Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith's alleged divorce.
Yesterday morning InTouch Weekly reported that Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith were separating after 13 years of marriage. After much speculation, rumor and Internet innuendo, everyone was wondering how true the information could be. Apparently not too true because later the couple in question decided to issue a statement to Access Hollywood stating:
"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."
The two have done many interviews promoting their love for one another and frequently shares inside peeks into their relationship, which has us thinking these two lovers separating is nearly close to impossible. The couple has also gone on the record about how having an “open relationship” should be inevitable for partners to make it. But why do we give them so much power or regard them as a stalwart symbol of love?
