Nicole Scherzinger is gone from X-Factor, but she still wore a smile while spotted in the streets of New York City.
The former Pussycat Dolls lead singer, host Steve Jones, and judge Paula Abdul have all been fired from the hit Simon Cowell-helmed singing competition show.
Steve Jones took to Twitter to break the news, "I won't be hosting next seasons X Factor which is a shame but I can't complain as I've had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show."
Nicole is going to use her free time to focus on her music, Paula, on the other hand, is in total shock.
TMZ reports she hasn't even received a call from her friend Simon Cowell. This is after he personally recruited the '80s pop singer after they were fellow judges together on American Idol.
It's been a wild day for the cast of X-Factor, leaving only L.A. Reid and Simon left.
She show was a success, but it hasn't been able to put up American Idol-like numbers. Speaking of Idol, one of the show's producers Nigel Lythgoe chimed in on the reports, tweeting, "Shocked to see Simon has fired Paula Abdul, Nicole and Steve from the X-Factor."
Nicole came under fire after she couldn't make a vote that would have saved young Rachel Crow, who many people considered a favorite to win the show's $5 million dollar cash prize.
We'll just have to wait and see what else Simon has up his sleeve.
