“Arabic Graffiti” is a new book, published by From Here To Fame, by Pascal Zoghbi and graffiti writer and publisher Stone AKA Don Karl.

The book brings together artists, graffiti writers and typographers from the Middle East and around the world who combine Arabic calligraphy with graffiti, street art and urban culture.

In addition to possessing a wealth of photos featuring Arabic graffiti and street art styles, the book features essays written by noted graffiti and design experts who explore, compare and contrast the traditional Arabic calligraphy with modern styles juxtaposed with the changing culture and politics of the evolving Arab world which includes France, Lebanon and Indonesia, to list a few countries.

Featuring 200 pages full color, this hardcover book has 325 photographs & illustrations and is an English edition book all graffiti enthusiasts and scholars should own. Our favorite section of the book is the section which focused on LightGraff, a French collective that paints Arabic graffiti with light and without any retouching! The poetry contained in the forms of the letters are as beautiful as the images that holds them.

After the break, see some images from the book! Order your copy here.
