Hours before she was depart for Ibiza, GlobalGrind spoke to supermodel Angela Martini about her bikini line which will debut this September.

Our conversation was lively as well as informative. Here’s some of what the stunning beauty said via phone from New York.
GlobalGrind: Hey, what’s up, Angela! We heard you have a line of bikinis coming out.
Angela Martini: I decided to spend the summer in New York for the first time and not go on vacation so I could work on the line! The first collection is a smaller collection and I will shoot the campaign next week.
What’s the concept behind the collection?
The purpose and focus on the line is on the butt, that’s why I did four different shapes of bikini bottoms. It doesn’t matter if you have a big butt, a small butt or round, my bikini’s are for everyone! I tried them out with my girlfriends because each of us have a different body shape. I wanted to create a line with different shapes and colors because I thought why not do shapes with multiple colors, where any woman who goes to the beach or the pool can feel sexy.

How did you get your ideas?
I shoot alot of bikini’s on my job and everytime I would shoot I would think, “I like this bikini top, but I don’t like the bottom.” Or “I like the bikini bottom and not the top!” I couldn’t find a simple, classic bikini with a nice shape or cut. I’m not looking for something crazy!
I’m a girl who loves women, I have a lot of girlfriends, so I thought why not create something for me and for other women, to do something different, to have a new challenge. If I can make one woman in the world smile when she looks in the mirror, if I can get her to say, “Damn it, my body looks good!” I’ve completed my mission!
How many bikini’s are in the collection?
This collection will have eight different bikini’s. You can buy it in September at angelamartinibikini.com and you can buy it in boutiques. The larger collection will be created in January and will launch in April. Then, I will get out of my comfort zone. I wanted to create something different, something not many people have seen before. I wanted to take a chance with this collection!

Have you always been comfortable with your body?
Yes! [Laughs] Oh, yes! I always have been been. I think its very important—it comes from your childhood. It comes from your mother or your sister who makes you think or say to you that you’re beautiful! When you are raised like that, you grow up loving yourself more, no matter what shape you have. You can’t take your body for granted, though. You have to watch what you eat. If I were to have a child, a daughter, no matter what shape or size she is, I will always let her know she is beautiful no matter what. This is important for a little girl to hear, specifically if she is told that by her own mother.
Are there any differences between Albanians and Americans in the way they see women and beauty?
Not that much! Maybe the Europeans; but Albanians like butts! Albanian women have butts. The Europeans are focused on the chest, they’re not focused on the butt. Albanians are different, they care about butts. They like exotic beauties, they celebrate beauty, they celebrate sex! They celebrate the curves!
