In 1999, one of the biggest girl groups ever, TLC, taught young women around the world how to love themselves even when they feel "Unpretty." 

As Chilli, T-Boz, and Left Eye sang "If you can't look inside you, find out who am I to/be in the position to feel so damn unpretty," every female in America slowly but surely began to love themselves again.
