Last night was a good night in New York City.

Dozens of rock, hip-hop, and R&B legends packed into New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden to put on an awesome concert providing aid to those in the greater New York area greatly affected by the devastation Hurricane Sandy caused six weeks ago.

Everyone from The Who to Bruce Springsteen performed last night, raising a whopping $30 million before any guitar strings were touched.

Kanye West, Alicia Keys, and Chris Martin were just a few of the dozens of artists who decided to get directly involved with raising money for Sandy victims.

Kanye West and Alicia Keys both performed an array of songs during their short 20-minute set time.

Chris Martin, on the other hand, came out as a one man band, as the other three members of Coldplay were unable to attend.

Chris made a few jokes about not being One Direction and charmed the crowd with his pleasant English accent before kicking off his set with “Viva La Vida.”
