Tauheed Epps, better known by his stage name, 2 Chainz, was honored at Russell Simmons’ Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball II this year for being a part of the “Respect My Vote” campaign.
The rapper is no rookie to the game, racking up no less than three Grammy nominations this year. His reputation and intellectual side are evident in his calm, collective tone and attentive mannerism when speaking with GlobalGrind’s Sharon Carpenter about his views on political activism and social awareness.
2 Chainz says he has been very busy, involved with his newfound passion of mobilizing the hip-hop community. Tity Boi also elaborates on which rapper would be the best next president, his cookbook (huh?), and even gives us his 2 cents on all the haters.
When asked about his approach to politics, 2 Chainz says he’s a top down kind of guy and this year, he's starting with himself as he gears up to get down to business. The man has multiple projects lined up and admits that it has been difficult deciding which of his peers to work with. After something like 98 collaborations last year, no wonder everyone’s after the hottest name to drop in rap music since Lil Wayne!
