Ace Hood has been the butt of social media jokes over the past few days, all because of a wardrobe malfunction.
Well, sort of.
More like a jewelry malfunction that was caught live on the BET Awards red carpet. The “Hustle Hard” rapper stopped by BET’s 106 & Park when the bezel of his Rolex fell off. Yes, the whole face of his diamond encrusted watch fell off on national television.
Obviously, it was an embarrassing moment that has led to thousands of internet memes and social media scrutiny, but Ace Hood is being a sport about the whole situation.
Ace Hood stopped by Los Angeles Power 106 to address his jewelry malfunction on the BET Awards red carpet, stating:
“When you spend so much money on a watch, certain things are not supposed to happen. My jeweler, I definitely had to fire the jeweler. He going through it, man.
I spent $60,000 on that watch, man. I was just as shocked as everybody else was when it did happen. It never happened to any of my other watches or anything. I looked up. I ain’t even know what it was. I figured it was my bracelet. It wasn’t no thing, though. For it to happen right then in that moment, I was like, ‘You could have happened anywhere else. I just performed. I just ripped down the stage, everything. But you chose to let it be there,’ that’s how I know the Devil be working.”
