Rap newcomer Azealia Banks has come out of the closet as a bisexual woman, but don't categorize her as the "lesbian" rapper.
In a very candid New York Times interview, the "212" rapper revealed her sexual orientation and how she doesn't want to be known as the "bisexual" femcee.
"Ms. Banks considers herself bisexual, but, she said: "I'm not trying to be, like, the bisexual, lesbian rapper. I don't live on other people's terms."
The Harlem rapper has been making a name for herself over the past few months. Rapper Kanye West took notice of Azealia's dope style and catchy verses, and she's one of a select few he actually follows on Twitter.
Azaleia also caught the attention of fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld. Azealia performed at Karl Lagerfeld's home in Paris, which received over 3 million YouTube views.

Azealia isn't the first, nor will she be the last female rapper to be labeled as the "bisexual" rapper.
We're glad she had the courage to stand proud and come out the closet.
