Hurricane Sandy has left many devestated after it ramsacked through the East Coast and yesterday some of our favorite celebs gathered together for a “Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together” telethon to raise funds, featuring performances and heart felt messages.
Christina Aguilera kicked off the program with a moving rendition of her hit “Beautiful" but before she hit us with her grand voice the Staten Island native referenced her hometown and reassured those impacted by the hurricane that they will not be left behind.
Jimmy Fallon, Steven Tyler, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and more came together to sing "Under the Boardwalk.” On the collaboration Fallon tweeted:
Mary J. Blige also hit the stage to sing "Living Proof." The R&B legend said before her performance:
"My prayers go out to everyone affected by the hurricane," she said. "Hang in there, be strong and have faith."
The evening came to a perfect close with Springstein and his E Street Band closing with "Land of Hope and Dreams."
It is phenomenal to see stars come together good cause. Check out their performances in the videos below!
