After being accused of short-changing the “Marvin’s Room” girl who famously asks, “Are you drunk right now?” Drizzy Drake has filed an official response.

CASE OF THE EX: Drake’s Sued By Ex Over “Marvin’s Room”

Drake’s ex-girlfriend, whose voice is featured on the popular Take Care track, is now suing Drake over royalties.

Drake’s ex, Ericka Lee, filed a lawsuit in California federal court claiming that she and Drake worked on “Marvin’s Room” together and were supposed to split the profits.

Drake ultimately gave Lee credit on the album as a “vocalist” on the song under the alias “Syren Lyric Muse,” but she still wanted more than 2 percent of the publishing royalties Drake offered.

Drake officially filed a response with the courts last week, and it’s quite simple.

“She consented to the use of her voice in the song ‘Marvin’s Room’ for no compensation.”

Drake also refutes claims that he and Ericka Lee were in a relationship or even romantic, and he denies that he ever threatened the young woman over her complaints of not getting paid.

The judge has yet to rule on the case, but we hope Drizzy gets it all straightened out.

Do you think the Ericka Lee should get royalties?
