Posted June 25, 2011 by Brittany Lewis for Global Grind Staff

Rapper Drake gave a thoughtful speech about his bestfriend Noah "40" Shebib and his hottest producer Matthew "Boi-1da" Samuels, who both received awards on Friday night at the 2011 ASCAP Awards.

Boi-1da has been the producer behind some of Drake's hottest hits including "Over," "Still Fly," and "Best I Ever Had."

GlobalGrind caught up with Boi-1da to talk about his beats, his process, and working on Drake's new album "Take Care."

Boi-1da gave us the details on how amazing Drake's new album is going to be, and Drake's reaction to all of the beats he has produced for "Take Care."

NEW MUSIC: Drake "Trust Issues"

Boi-1da had this to say about Drake, "He just had the same reaction as always. He just snaps and gets into a zone and starts writing. Sometimes he doesn't even say nothing he just goes, Ugh! Ugh! He gives me a grunt and it's a wrap from there. You just know."

Taking what Boi-1da into consideration, GlobalGrind knows for sure that Drake's new album "Take Care" is going to be a definite hit!
