In 2012, rumors surfaced that the group was working on some new music, but members Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, and Joe Trohman dismissed the assertion that Fall Out Boy was reuniting.
However, after a long hiatus, the guys are back to Save Rock and Roll. Not only is a forthcoming album set to drop sometime this year, but upcoming tour dates have been announced, and they're performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on February 13th.
Pete and the guys wrote a message to fans via their website:
"When we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn't a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.
