It’s been reported by Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg that J. Cole has a track on his new album, Born Sinner, titled “I Disappointed Nas.”
According to Peter Rosenberg, an insider close to J. Cole has confirmed that the song does exist. Supposedly, the track is about a time when Nas called up the North Carolina rapper and expressed disappointment over his crossover track “Workout.”
Feeling the heat, J. Cole decided to make a song about it and tentatively titled it “I Disappointed Nas.”
Peter Rosenberg dishes on the details, stating:
“Supposedly there’s a song on the J. Cole album called something along the lines of “I Disappointed Nas,” about how Nas supposedly reached out to J. Cole after he heard “Workout” and was like, “Nah, fam. I expected more from you than this.” And supposedly J. Cole gets really personal and has a whole song about how it felt to have disappointed, obviously, one of his heroes in music, Nas.”
J.Cole’s releasing his Born Sinner album on June 18th, alongside Kanye West’s Yeezus.
