The hip-hop world was up in arms when news broke that Nas had a ghostwriter for his controversial album Untitled, most widely known as the "N*gger" album.
Hip-hop writer and journalist dream hampton confirmed the rumors via her Twitter and all hell broke loose. From debates to denials, editorials to deep analysis, everyone in hip-hop was talking about the possibility of Nas utilizing ghostwriters.
The accused penmen, Jay Electronica and stic.man of dead prez, both came out on Twitter to deny the allegations.
MTV ran into Roc Nation's Jay Electronica at Jay-Z's Made In America Festival over the weekend, and the New Orleans rapper finally put a rest to the rumors once and for all, stating:
"Nas is one of the gods, one of the greatest of all time, one of the godfathers of even my own style. I met him on a humble submission and he is one of the greatest ever. He never has or never will need a ghostwriter. He's legendary, his pen game is unquestionable. Salute to Nas. And all of the other bullsh*t is just bullsh*t."
Welp, there you have it.
