As expected, Jay-Z scored his 13th number one album with the release of his 12th solo LP Magna Carta Holy Grail.

Despite the debate about purchased digital sales, Jay-Z moved a whopping 527,000 copies in the first week, excluding the one million copies Samsung purchased for Galaxy users.

While Jay came in at the number one spot, singer Ciara came in at number two, selling 57,515 copies of her self-titled album, and surprisingly, J. Cole’s Born Sinner album is still moving a significant amount of units, coming in at number three.

Born Sinner moved an additional 38,718 copies almost one month after its release.

Jay-Z is scheduled to hit the road alongside Justin Timberlake on their collaborative “Legends Of The Summer” tour, which kicks off today.

Fans across the pond can also catch Jay-Z on his own headlining tour in October.

Congrats Jay.
