Justin Timberlake is finally making his return to music! But not exactly how we thought he would.

The FutureSex/LoveSounds singer is following in the footsteps of his producer pal Pharrell Williams and scoring his first film ever: The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.

Unable to reconcile the grief from recently losing his wife, an introverted architect befriends a wisecracking young girl and agrees to help her build a raft to cross the Atlantic.

Justin’s fianceé Jessica Biel and Kick-Ass actress Chloe Mortez are slated to star in the film as well.

Currently, The Devil is in pre-production, so no release date has been announced. We can probably expect the final product later on this year or early 2013.

Hopefully getting back into the music groove will inspire Justin to get back in that studio! It’s been six years since his last album.
