Earlier this week, Kendrick Lamar made headlines for his stance against voting, now he's hit his fans with some sad news: he's delaying his new album.

It's starting to become hip-hop tradition to push back a highly anticipated album.

G.O.O.D. Music's compilation album received two push backs, Meek Mill delayed his debut album, Rick Ross delayed God Forgives, I Don't for almost six months before it hit store shelves, and now Kendrick Lamar is pushing back good kid, M.A.A.d city. 

NEW MUSIC: Kendrick Lamar & Young Jeezy "Westside, Right On Time" 

The Compton rapper is slated to collaborate with Lady Gaga on his forthcoming project, and there are also rumors that Kid Cudi will be featured on the new album. 

Originally scheduled for an early October release, Kendrick's decided to give it a few more weeks of loving before releasing the record in late October. 

good kid, m.A.A.d city is now expected to drop October 20.
