Say it ain't so!
Lil Wayne confirms what we've all been suspecting over the past year and a half. His love for rapping has officially taken a back seat to his new love of skateboarding.
After being released from jail in November 2010, Lil Wayne picked up the hobby of skateboarding to keep his mind on staying sober.
Since then, Lil Tunechi has seemed a little distant from the rap game and quite frankly, his status in the game has diminished considerably over the past few months.
In a recent interview with DJ Drama, Lil Wayne revealed why he was taking a break from rap:
"I kinda feel like I deserve that. I feel like the fans deserve a lil’ no Wayne. I’ve been everywhere. I’ve been out on everybody’s song, I’m still on everybody’s song, my artists are doing awesome. I believe the fans deserve some peace from me. I be on my skateboard in the meantime."
GlobalGrind's known something was up with Lil Wayne for some time now, but we're glad he finally came clean and confirmed that rap is no longer a priority for him at this time.
