A jury decided yesterday that Plies, whose real name is Algernod Lanier Washington, is civilly liable for a shooting that occurred in a Gainesville nightclub back in 2006. Plies will be forced to fork up $200 stacks.

Back in 2006, Plies and his entourage, which included his older brother Ronell Levatte (also known as Big Gates), were performing at Gainesville’s 283 West nightclub.

During the show, members of the Plies’ entourage got into an altercation with some other men. This lead to Plies’ brother and two other men bucking shots in the club, leaving five people injured.

For the shooting, Big Gates was sentenced to three years in prison, while Plies was hit with a $10 million dollar lawsuit by the victims.

The victims didn’t get that $10 mill, but $200,000 isn’t anything to sneeze at!

During the seven day trial, the Florida rapper claimed that he was not affiliated with his brother or any of the other men who fired shots.

Plies’ lawyer plans to file several motions that could lead to an appeal. What’s your verdict?
