Madonna called into Ryan Seacrest's radio show to talk about her Super Bowl halftime show performance and the middle finger stunt rapper M.I.A. pulled on stage.

Madonna revealed to Ryan Seacrest:

"To tell you the truth, I didn't even know about it, I had no idea. I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it.

I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity, it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager ... irrelevant thing to do ... there was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place."

M.I.A. has since apologized for flipping the bird, saying she was "incredibly sorry" and that she got "caught up in the moment."

The damage is already done, and if the FCC decides to fine NBC, M.I.A. will have to foot the bill.

Do you agree with Madonna? Was M.I.A.'s Super Bowl stunt childish?
