Nicki Minaj's "Stupid Hoe" Banned From BET (DETAILS)

Posted February 1, 2012 by Brittany Lewis for Global Grind Staff

Stupid hoes are Nicki Minaj's enemies, but right now, stupid hoes are winning!

NEW VIDEO: Nicki Minaj "Stupid Hoe"

Nicki Minaj's "Stupid Hoe" video has been banned by BET. The network decided to ban Nicki's video when it premiered almost two weeks ago.

Apparently, Nicki knew that her Hype Williams-directed video probably wouldn't end up on network TV, and she seems perfectly fine with that.

Nicki spoke about "Stupid Hoes" being banned:

“Can’t premiere on a network b/c its important that my art is not tampered with, or compromised prior to you viewing it for the 1st time.”

Nicki Minaj is an artist, and like most artists, she's sensitive about her sh*t. In order to preserve her artistic integrity, Ms. Minaj decided to go against the grain instead of making a "network friendly" video.

DETAILS: Nicki Minaj To Perform At Grammys

GlobalGrind can definitely respect her decision. If Nicki doesn't mind that her video is banned, why should we?

There's no official reason as to why BET decided to ban the video, but we're thinking maybe because the song is called "Stupid Hoe"?

Nicki isn't alone on the banned boat. In the past, BET has banned Ciara's "Ride" video, as well as Teiarra Mari's "Sponsor" video, citing that both videos don't send responsible messages to young girls.

Do you agree with Nicki Minaj's "Stupid Hoe" ban? Or do you think it's just plain stupid?
