May the church say amen!

DETAILS: UH OH! Pete Rock Thinks Lupe Fiasco's "T.R.O.Y." Sample Is Wack!

Pete Rock wasn't a happy camper earlier this week when rapper Lupe Fiasco released his "T.R.O.Y."-sampled song "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)."

Pete Rock's "T.R.O.Y." track dropped in 1992 and was inspired by Pete's fallen friend who died tragically. Made from a place of pain and anguish, Pete Rock is very protective of his record and Lupe's remake didn't sit well with him at all.

NEW MUSIC: Lupe Fiasco "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)

After a long Twitter rant, Pete Rock got in touch with the "Words I Never Said" rapper and settled their differences.

After all the angst, Pete and Lupe are now on a new track together and everyone's happy.

Now isn't that the perfect fairytale ending?

Do you think Pete Rock was overreacting in the first place?
