Back in 2004, hip-hop music experienced its own ‘War Of The Worlds’ saga.
During Jay-Z’s and R.Kelly’s Best of Both Worlds tour, Kelly, alarmed by concert goers allegedly 'waving guns in his direction,' abandoned a Madison Square Garden stage in fear for his safety - leaving a confused Jay-Z to close out the concert on his own.
The strange episode landed Jay and his team at the end of a $75 million suit, filed by Kelly himself.
Since then, the two gentlemen have ceased creating music together.
However, despite all the drama, the R&B king recently admitted to MTV News that he’s still a huge fan of the Jigga Man and his music.
“[I’m] a huge fan," Kelly said. “I don’t care what it is, who it's with. As long as it’s positive and as long as it works for both parties, I’m with it.”
On Jay & Kanye’s recent collab effort, Watch The Throne, Kelly emphatically added that he’s “absolutely a fan” of what they’ve been doing together.
Sounds like these two Kings have finally established the peace!
