“But he’s only 16!”

That’s what everybody’s saying about Brooklyn emcee Joey Bad A$$.

But one listen to this kid’s music and flow, and you’ll soon understand why his craft has garnered so much attention and acclaim.

The kid is NICE, and raps on tracks better than a lot of the talent currently surfing the hip-hop wave.

It’s only been two weeks since Joey Bad A$$ dropped the visuals to his vintage hip-hop inspired track “Survival Tactics." But since then, his name has been in circulation all over the dot com.

Yeah he’s young, but he’s clearly beyond his time - delivering his flow with such conviction and Brooklyn swag, he could easily put the home of Biggie and Jay back on the map.

Though his notoriety has grown to reach new heights, he’s still enrolled at Brooklyn’s Edward R. Murrow public high school. The same school of graduates Yvette Clarke (US Congresswoman) and Jean Michael Basquiat.

Vice mag and Noisey.com caught up with Joey Bad A$$ and the rest of his multi-talented Pro-Era crew for an eight minute interview (above) on their life&times as just as bunch of kids from the block.

Joey's debut solo project 1999 is due out later this month.

But for now, push play and get familiar, and check out "Survival Tactics" below.
