We all live with regrets, even the incredibly rich, famous and lucky.
Take for example, Gangster Squad star Ryan Gosling.
Yeah, we guess Ryan has made out a decent career for himself as an Academy Award-nominated actor, but f*ck that. Dude could have made musical history: He had the opportunity to become a member of the Backstreet Boys!

Ryan told the story during a recent interview with CeleBuzz. Speaking about the missed opportunity, Ryan said this:
“When I was doing the Mickey Mouse Club we were living in the same place as that guy A.J. [McLean] from the Backstreet Boys. And so he was always talking about the Backstreet Boys, but they were just forming that band so he was saying how big they were going to be and he had a poster of them in his house.
We were like . . . that’s never going to happen. Didn’t they already do that with New Kids [On the Block]? You’re a little late. Cut to . . . I was wrong.”

YES, Ryan, you were wrong.

Honestly, you guys, if Ryan was in the group, the Backstreet Boys would still be together. We really do believe that.
After that CeleBuzz interview started to spread, TMZ actually caught up to “that guy AJ” and he confirmed that Ryan could have been in the group. He also explained why he doesn’t return the actor’s phone calls.
