Ryan’s old flame, singer Cassie, seems to connect with Ryan musically, and he would love to make it happen again.

GlobalGrind: Who’s been your favorite person you’ve worked with thus far?
Ryan Leslie: I think that working with someone is really just half of the equation, and watching the world respond is the other half. So the most exciting experience to date would have to be the experience I had working on Cassie’s project and watching the world respond so explosively to the project.
Do you have any plans on working with her in the future?
I have a record that I think she would sound great on for my album. I know she’s in the midst of (other things) … Actually on 106 & Park, I just saw a trailer for her new video. I don’t know if directionally it fits with what she’s doing, but I would love to have that collaboration happen again.
Is there anyone you haven’t worked with yet, that you’re looking forward to collaborating with?
Stevie Wonder, yeah. I don’t want to jinx it, but we’ll say Stevie for right now, and a lot of other folks.
Are there any newer artists that have caught your attention? People who are still under the radar.
I feel like I’m still in that category too. As crazy as that sounds. So that’s what I’ve been concentrating on.
