Sean Paul: "Scarlett Johansson Is A Brillant Actress & She's Hot!"

Reggae dancehall artist Sean Paul took the music industry by storm in 2002 with his album Dutty Rock.

Now, some 10 years later he's still making magic with new music. Sean Paul linked up with StarRoc/Roc Nation songstress Alexis Jordan on his new dance track "Got 2 Luv U."

GlobalGrind caught up with the dancehall artist to talk about his forthcoming album, his celebrity crushes, and growing up in Jamaica.

GlobalGrind: “Got 2 Luv U”is dope! What made you want to link up with Alexis Jordan?

Sean Paul: Basically, I wanted to work with Stargate, and they signed her. When I first heard the song, it was a demo of someone else singing the hook. I thought 'We need a girl to sing it' and we got the perfect girl. She’s beautiful, she sounds great, she came in second on America’s Got Talent, she came first on Britain’s Got Talent. She’s been selling records in Europe and Australia. This is her home.  

You’re working on your upcoming album. Is it finished?

It’s almost finished.

Can we get some secrets, names, or dates?

I worked more with Stargate. I wrote two songs with Stargate. The first one features Alexis Jordan. That’s the one that’s out now. I got another song with Kelly Rowland.

One or two more joints in October, then do mixing, then we’re done. So I got a good amount of work.

Your fans have been wondering when you’re going to drop your album.

It’s gonna come out in February.

Do you have a name in mind?

No. I don’t have a name.
