The biggest story of the last couple of weeks has been Frank Ocean revealing to the world that he was once in love with a man.

Since Frank tweeted out the letter to a man he called his “first love,” more and more artists have been publicly showing support for his decision to open up about his bisexuality.

The two latest artists to show their support are super rap group Slaughterhouse and R&B singer Ne-Yo

Fuse TV was interviewing Slaughterhouse when Frank Ocean’s decision came up. The group’s two leaders, Joe Budden and Royce Da 5’9, showed the most vocal support. Budden, one who isn’t afraid to be honest in his music, said:

“This is great. I mean, I applaud him. Like I said, the album is amazing, and hats off to him. Hats off to anybody that’s comfortable with himself or herself. Much better than ninety-nine percent of these people running around, pretending to be something they’re not.”

While Royce then added:

“A huge part of the industry is insecure. So I embrace integrity. Definitely. I think it’s awesome.”

Ne-Yo was asked about Frank while talking with Yesi Ortiz of Power 106. Ne-Yo’s comments mirrored Slaughterhouse’s:

“To each his own, if that’s how he rock, that’s how he rock, you know what I mean. It don’t change the fact that his music is incredible, it don’t change the fact that he’s an incredible artist.”

However, while on the topic of sexuality, Ne-Yo also requested that the gay rumors that have been plaguing him most of his career stop:

“Call me ugly or something, let’s think of something else, this whole gay thing has been lingering for a little too long. Say I’m adopted, I’ll take the ninja turtle comments, I’ll take that, let’s do something else.”

It’s refreshing to see that the majority of comments on Frank Ocean’s decision have been full of great positivity.
