Yesterday, Amber Rose dropped her debut single "Fame," which features her boyfriend Wiz Khalifa, and the response has been either enthusiastic or tepid, to say the least.
MUSIC: Amber Rose & Wiz Khalifa "FAME"
There’s some who have praised “Fame,” but for the most part the song was dismissed, rather quickly, by those living in the social media universe.
DETAILS: Amber Rose Asked Wiz If Her Music Sucked!
When we posted the song yesterday, we had a poll asking what our loyal readers thought.
Over a thousand people voted and the results looked like this: 31 percent loved the song, 46 percent thought that it was just OK and 22 percent thought it was completely wack.
Those are not encouraging stats, people.
Now for the record, we happen to think that “Fame” is pretty good. The song is catchy. It is also decently written and is not drowned with computer effects. Plus, Wiz spits a pretty good verse on the track.
It’s definitely not the worst song done by a socialite or reality TV star or model or a rapper’s ex-chick, or whatever the hell you want to call Amber.
And to prove our point, we decided to compare “Fame” to previous first singles recorded by socialites over the last couple of years and decide which song was better.
Check out our list, then come back and let us know what you think!
