Timbaland Says Drake Shouldn't Do An Aaliyah Record Without Him Or Missy Elliott (DETAILS)

Posted August 3, 2012 by Brittany Lewis for Global Grind Staff

Rumors have been swirling around Drake and his obsession with R&B singer Aaliyah lately.

RUMOR HAS IT! Drake To Executive Produce Aaliyah's New Album

News broke earlier this week that Drake was supposed to be executive producing an Aaliyah album.

Producer and once good friend of Aaliyah, Timbaland, stopped by Power 105's The Breakfast Club morning show to chit-chat about upcoming projects and of course his little sister, Aaliyah.

During the interview with Power 105's The Breakfast Club, Timbaland revealed what he thought about Drake working on an Aaliyah project:

"I know they trying to drop some Aaliyah records, but if he do it, it should be with me and Missy. The proper way for him to do that would be for me, him and Missy to be all on the record.  But to put it on his record, would just not be right."

GlobalGrind has to admit, we definitely agree with Timbaland on this one. Him and Missy Elliott not only produced Aaliyah's biggest hits, but they were also Aaliyah's closest friends.

Should Drake consider including Timbaland and Missy for his Aaliyah project?
