This video features a straight up lyrical Nicki Minaj who was still hungry to get her shine in the rap game. Nicki raps over Terror Squad’s “Yeah Yeah Yeah,” then busts out an a capella freestyle.

Towards the end of the video Nicki kicks a little sh*t:
“I do it for fun. I rap cause I’m good at it. I only rap cause I’m good at it, like really. It really was a hobby for a minute. Then I’m like damn look at the state of hip-hop, what’s going on?”
Very interesting to see Nicki before her pop takeover with “Super Bass” and “Starships.” Wonder if she knew she’d become a pop artist virtually overnight?
