It was just days ago that Whitney was out and about attending parties and doing press rounds prior to the Grammy’s, but today the singer’s life was cut short at just 48 years old. 

In celebration of Whitney’s life and career, we are taking a look back at the soulful singer’s most memorable performances. May Whitney rest in peace, her legacy will live on through her songs.

Whitney Houston Performed the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Her performance was flawlessly laced and one of the best that the Super Bowl has seen since the early nineties.

 

The pop diva took the stage to perform Greatest Love of All during an award show in 1990. Dressed in all black, Whitney blended in to a dark background, but her soulful voice was at the forefront.

 

Whitney Houston sings Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” at the 1994 Grammy’s. To this day, no one can match Whitney’s vocal skills. She starts off a song without music, and completely silences the thousands in the audience. Her beauty is timeless.
