Whitney Houston had it all. She was beautiful. She had the grace of a 1000 women, and her voice was nothing short of heaven sent.

I am at a loss for words, but here's what I want to share with you.

Dear Whitney,

Since I was a little girl, I would always sing your songs, hoping that one day I'd be as stoic and my voice would be as stellar as yours.

Of course, my vocal ability came no where near the powerhouse vocals you possessed, but it was YOUR voice who inspired my desire to pursue music in more avenues than one.

Over the years, your music made me want to dance with somebody. I wanted to feel the heat with the man of my dreams, and I wanted to discover to greatest love of all.

The past 20 years have been the years of the "wanna-be like" Whitney singers, who have all crowned you the queen of their inspiration.

You are the queen and will always be the queen of modern-day music.

Despite your addiction, I knew you'd always pull through. Your demons and your doubters waited for you to fall, but you fought.

You fought to regain your respect and your recognition, and I will say you, Ms. Houston, were well on your way to an everlasting redemption.

I am not here to rehash your faults or flaws, but here remember your spirit and your power to awe.

But it seems like God had a different plan for you my dear, and that plan I have no choice but to respect.

Even though you are no longer here in the physical, I want wish you eternal joy and happiness, but above all these words and emotions, I want to wish you love.

Whitney, although we haven't endured the same ups and downs life has to offer, I still understood your narrative. I always knew your heart was in the music, and I could always hear your soul in the melodies.

I have so much respect for your influence, your impact, your love, and most importantly, your life.

The music world is suffering a great loss, but we're glad we had the chance to hear your million dollar voice.

Whitney you were truly an original songstress and your talent is beyond compare.

I am heartbroken, and I still can't believe this to be true, but since you're not longer with us- Whitney I will always love you.  #RIP!Love,

~Brittany Lewis
