VIDEO: Jordin Sparks & John Legend Pay Tribute To Whitney Houston On The Billboard Music Awards

Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks’ duet “Celebrate” hits the ‘net only a day after Whitney’s touching Billboard Music Awards tribute.

The collaboration comes to us from Sparkle, the film Whitney co-starred in with Jordin. Sparkle is a remake of the 1976 classic starring Philip Michael Thomas and Irene Cara.

“Everybody’s been so uptight/and forgetting to live their life/let all the problems get them down/till it makes you want to shout,” sings Whitney.

Jordin follows up, “see everybody been down on luck/finally things are looking up/the sun has chased all the rain away/no more obstacles in our way.”

Jordin Sparks was deeply affected by the death of her mentor Whitney Houston, but she mustered up enough courage to pay tribute to her on the 2012 Billboard Music Awards.

Last night, Jordin joined John Legend on stage to sing “I Will Always Love You” in honor of Whitney’s memory.

The movie Sparkle is set to hit theaters August 17.
