Since XXL magazine debuted the Freshman List back in 2007, their annual collection of rappers that we should look out for in the next year has become a yearly favorite of ours.
In the past, notable rappers on the list have included Kid Cudi, Wale, J. Cole, Big Sean, Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar and Diggy Simmons.

You got to give it up to XXL: That is an incredible amount of new acts that they hit on.
Well, a rough cut of the list has hit the Internet and it continues the tradition of putting on a lot of new names, some you might be familiar with and others you might have no clue about.
This list will probably be cut down, but still, it’s interesting to see what the first draft looks like.
