Amy Winehouse's Mother And Father Speak About Her Death (PHOTOS)

Amy Winehouse died on Saturday afternoon of a suspected drug overdose. The super talented songstress had battled drugs and alcohol for the majority of her whole career, and just this past Tuesday checked herself out of rehab. Her on again, off again boyfriend Reg Travvis reportedly called off their relationship after Amy wouldn't go to rehab.  Some of her friends are saying that she devastated by the loss of her boyfriend.

The police arrived on the scene around 4PM London time and have told the press that she was "beyond help." Throughout the day her friends and fans have been tweeting their condolences. Amy's father, Mitch Winehouse, who was on a plane to NYC when Amy was pronounced dead, has returned to London.

Mitch told the press, "I’m coming home. I have to be with Amy. I can’t crack up for her sake. My family need me."  Amy's mother Janis, who saw her daughter on Friday night, recalled, "She seemed out of it. But her passing so suddenly still hasn't hit me."  When Janis left her home, she remembers Amy saying to her "'I love you, Mum'. They are the words I will always treasure and always remember Amy by."
