Well, it's no secret that the NCAA final released their sanctions today regarding USC, and the three scapegoats; Reggie Bush, O.J. Mayo and John Carroll. If, you haven't heard, earlier, USC imposed their own sanctions as it relates to their basketball program, while the NCAA was left to decide the future of the football program. USC will receive a two year bowl ban and a loss of more than 20 scholarships; possible forfeiture of wins from the 2004 season. Students and universities receiving illegal gifts and/or benefits under the NCAA is nothing new, however, something that has always remain an enigma to me is that the NCAA have not consider changing their rules and guidelines to incorporate, as well as protect the Student Athlete 'Unpaid Labor'. In this case, the NCAA, NIKE and USC made millions off of Reggie Bush and O. J. Mayo, money that they will never see or touch.
