In case the world does end on May 21, 2011, we have Harold Camping to thank. The 89-year-old Family Radio founder, a California-based religious broadcasting network that spans more than 150 outlets in the United States, has been warning everyone since he predicted the world will end in his book entitled “1994?”

STORY: Seven Signs The World Really Is Coming To An End On May 21st!

When asked why the world didn’t end in 1994, Harold says, “I thought that at that time that there was a possibility it might be 1994, and so I wrote a book, “1994?,” but I put a big question mark after it, and in the book it also indicated that 2011 was also a good possibility.”

So why is Camping predicting the particular date of May 21, 2011? It’s all mathematics, according to Camping in 4990 B.C., the year that God destroyed the earth with water, if you add 7,000 years and minus one because there was no year “0” you get 2011.

Camping thinks Judgement Day will be on the 17th day of the second month, which he says is the day it started raining on Noah, the guy with the Arc. According to Camping’s version of the biblical calendar, it’s May 21.

So there you have it, are you ready for Judgement Day?
