This is not good news at all!
Hardcore rapper Rick Ross is wanted for questioning by Miami police after a 39-year old man was found dead in front of his Miami Gardens home this morning around 7 a.m. this morning, following reports of a shooting.
The man who died as a result of the shooting has been identified as Gregory Paul Nesbitt. Gregory's car was removed from the scene and authorities are unsure as to why Gregory was in the area.
Authorities attained Gregory's jail records which indicate involvement in cocaine trafficking, assault on a first responder, and grand theft of a motor vehicle. Gregory was released from prison in 2002.
GlobalGrind spoke exclusively with a resident in the area who said that the home is occupied on a daily basis by Rick Ross' entourage.
Police found the body driving down Northwest 181st Street and 32nd Avenue.
Authorities say the man was killed as a result of a shooting that took place, however Rick Ross was not present in his home during the incident. A witness in the neighborhood verified that the incident may have been a drive-by shooting saying:
"I was there when there were shots. I don't know what car, but they got away down the street..."
Miami police Sgt. Bill Bamford also spoke on the event saying:
"Police were driving through the neighborhood and came across the body. They do have neighbors that did hear gunshots. They are talking with them to determine what they heard and hopefully put the pieces of the puzzle together."
As reported by TMZ:
Cops are looking to speak with rapper Rick Ross ... after a 40-year-old man was shot to death in front of his Miami Gardens home this morning ... TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us ... Ross was NOT home at the time of the shooting and at this point in the investigation; he's not considered a suspect. We're told cops found the victim laying inside a gate at the home. Sources tell us ... investigators don't know if the victim has any connection to Ross, but since he is listed as the owner of the property, cops want to ask him a few questions about the situation. So far, no comment from Rick's camp.
We hope our boy Ricky Rozay does not have any connection with this crime. Our condolences go out to the family of the man who died.
