Students at Santa Monica College arguably received some excessive treatment by campus authorities yesterday.
The riled up students gathered together outside of a room in which the school's Board of Trustees were discussing whether or not to offer a second tier of classes that would not be subsidized by the state.
The proposal being discussed by the board would "privatize" their education, according to the student protestors; forcing them to pay more for their courses.
During the protests, nearly 30 students were pepper sprayed and many were injured.
Santa Monica isn't the only college that has used excessive force against students.
